Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing a Rolex Submariner for the longest time. That classic, no-date version, all sleek and black. Man, that thing is a beauty. But you know how it is, those watches are seriously pricey, like, “sell your kidney” pricey. So, I started looking into, uh, “high imitation” versions. Yeah, that’s what they’re called.
First, I dived deep into the internet, reading everything I could find about these high imitation Rolexes. Forums, blogs, you name it. I learned how to spot some of the, you know, less-than-perfect ones. Apparently, the little pearl, they call it the “pip,” on the bezel is a dead giveaway if it’s not done right. I also checked out a bunch of online stores that sell these things. Most of them looked a bit sketchy, to be honest. Not sure I’d trust them with my money, I think they are not reliable.
But then I stumbled upon this one online store. It seemed a little more legit, had a bunch of reviews, and they were mostly positive. They had this High imitation Rolex No-Date Black Submariner, “original order” they called it. Looked pretty darn close to the real deal, at least in the pictures. The price was, well, let’s just say it was a lot easier to swallow than the real thing. It is about 130g, very close to the real Submariner. Still, I was a bit nervous. Spending that kind of money on something that’s not the “real” thing, it’s a gamble.
So, I reached out to the store, asked a ton of questions. They were pretty responsive, answered everything I threw at them. They even sent me some extra pictures, close-ups of the watch. I spent a good week, maybe two, just thinking about it, comparing the pictures to the real Submariner. The more I looked, the more I convinced myself that this “high imitation” was worth a shot.
Finally, I pulled the trigger. Paid for the watch, and then came the waiting. Every day I was checking the tracking, hoping it wouldn’t get, you know, “lost” somewhere along the way. It took about a week, maybe a little longer, but it finally arrived.
Man, when I opened that box, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. And you know what? It looked even better in person than in the pictures. It had a good weight to it, felt solid. The details were all there, the bezel clicked just right, the crown screwed down smoothly. The date display is much more convenient. It’s like it, I don’t know, it’s hard to explain. It just felt right.
I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks now, and I gotta say, I’m pretty happy with it. I mean, yeah, it’s not a real Rolex, but it’s close enough for me. And for the price, I really can’t complain.
- If you’re thinking about getting one of these high imitation Rolex Submariners, I’d say go for it.
- But do your research.
- Make sure you find a store that seems legit, read the reviews, ask questions.
- And be prepared to wait a little while for it to arrive.
Here’s the thing:
It’s definitely a cheaper way to get that Submariner look without, you know, having to sell a kidney. I mean, it’s not like I’m going diving with it or anything, and no one’s gonna know it’s not the real deal unless they’re, like, a watch expert or something. At least, that’s what I’m telling myself.
