So, I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster Super Racing watch for a while now. It’s a beauty, no doubt. The price tag, though? That’s a whole other story. I mean, we’re talking about a serious chunk of change here.
First things first, I started digging around online, you know, just to see what the deal was with this watch. Turns out, it’s the first one to feature this new “Spirate System” thingamajig. Apparently, OMEGA used their old caliber 9900 as a base and upgraded it. Sounds fancy, right?
Then, I got down to the nitty-gritty – the price. I checked out a bunch of websites, and let me tell you, the prices were all over the place. Some places were offering it for a bit less, others were trying to sell it for a fortune. I even found some price charts and stuff, but it was all a bit overwhelming.
But then, I remembered reading something about a record-breaking sale of an old Speedmaster for $3.4 million! That’s insane, right? It made me realize that these watches are a big deal. And apparently, everyone wants one right now, ’cause there’s a “run” on them, as they say.
After all that research, I was still on the fence. Part of me really wanted to just go for it and get the watch. I mean, it’s an OMEGA, and it’s got that cool new Spirate System. But the other part of me was like, “Whoa, slow down there, buddy. That’s a lot of money!”
So, what did I do? Well, I decided to sleep on it. I figured, if I still wanted it in the morning, then maybe it was meant to be. And if not, well, then I saved myself a whole lot of cash. I browsed a lot of websites again to make a final decision.
Next morning, guess what? I still wanted it. So, I went back online, found a seller that seemed legit, and I finally pulled the trigger. I ordered the darn thing! Now, I’m just waiting for it to arrive. I’m both excited and a little bit terrified, to be honest. Did I make the right decision? Only time will tell.
Stay tuned for an update once the watch gets here. I’ll let you know if it was worth all the fuss and all the money. Wish me luck!

- Slept on it (the best decision-making tool, IMO).
- Finally bought the watch!
- Now, playing the waiting game.
