Okay, so, I got this idea the other day. I was browsing through some fancy stuff online, and I stumbled upon this Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG. You know, YSL, that super famous brand? Their stuff is like, everywhere. This bag, it caught my eye. It’s got this old-school vibe, but it’s also kinda modern. I don’t know how they do it, but it looks pretty neat. Some people call these “handbag” or “shoulder bag,” but that feels too official for me.
I thought, “Hey, I can totally make something like this.” Not the exact same, of course, but something similar. This brand, it’s French, started back in 1961 by some guy named Yves Saint Laurent and his buddy. Now it’s all about luxury and high-end stuff. Their stuff is expensive because they use really good materials, like real leather and silk, and they make them really well. That’s what I’ve heard, anyway.
So, I got to work. First, I needed some leather. Not the cheap stuff, but some good quality leather that feels nice. I went to a few stores, checked online, and finally found the perfect piece. It was a bit pricey, but I wanted this bag to be good, you know? Then, I needed some other things, like a zipper, some metal parts for the strap, and thread.

Gathering Supplies: First thing I did was to get all the stuff I needed. I went to a bunch of stores and looked online to find good leather and all the other bits and pieces. It took a while, but I found everything.

Cutting the Leather: I laid out the leather and started cutting. This was the scary part because if I messed up, I’d waste the leather. But I took my time and followed the pattern I drew. And I used a pencil at first to avoid mistakes.

Sewing It Together: Then came the sewing. I used my sewing machine, which I’m pretty good at. I sewed the pieces together, making sure the stitches were straight and strong. I even double-stitched some parts to make them extra durable.

Adding the Details: After the main part was done, I added the zipper and the metal parts. This was a bit tricky, but I managed to get everything in place. It was starting to look like a real bag!
The hardest part was getting the shape right. I wanted it to be like a box, just like the YSL bag. So, I took my time, cutting the leather carefully and making sure everything lined up. It wasn’t easy, and I messed up a few times. But I kept going, and eventually, it started to look like a box. Then came the sewing. I used my sewing machine, which is pretty old but still works great. I sewed the pieces together, slowly and carefully. I wanted the stitches to be neat and strong, just like the real thing.
The last part was adding the details. I put in a zipper, added the metal parts for the strap, and even put a little pocket inside. It took a while, but finally, it was done! It’s not exactly like the YSL bag, but it’s pretty close. I’m super proud of it. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but that’s okay. It’s my own creation, and I think it looks pretty cool.
So, that’s how I made my own version of the YSL JUNE BOX BAG. It was a fun project, and I learned a lot. Maybe next time, I’ll try something even more complicated. Who knows? Maybe I’ll even start my own brand someday. But for now, I’m just happy with my new bag. I am going to use my new bag!
