Alright, let’s talk about this little project of mine – remaking the Yves Saint Laurent YSL COLLEGE BAG. You know, the classic style one. It all started when I stumbled upon this bag online. I ain’t no expert on these fancy brands, but I’ve heard of Saint Laurent, or YSL, whatever you wanna call it.
So, I got this idea stuck in my head. I thought, “Why not try to remake it?” I mean, a bag’s a bag, right? But this one, it’s got that fancy name and that YSL logo all big and bold. So, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work.
Figuring Out the Materials
First things first, I had to figure out what this bag is made of. Folks online say it’s some kind of fancy leather. I went down to the local shop and found some leather that looked pretty similar. It wasn’t cheap, but hey, you gotta spend money to make money, right? Or in this case, to make a bag that looks like it costs a lot of money.
Cutting and Stitching
Next up, cutting the leather. I ain’t no professional, but I got a steady hand. I drew out the shapes I needed, based on pictures of the bag I found online. Then, I got to cutting. After that, it was time to stitch it all together. I used my grandma’s old sewing machine – that thing’s older than me, but it still works like a charm. I stitched and stitched until I had something that started to look like a bag.
Adding the YSL Logo
Now, for the most important part – that YSL logo. I couldn’t just stitch that on, could I? I needed it to look like the real deal. So, I went back online and found a place that makes custom metal pieces. I sent them the design, and a few weeks later, I had a shiny new YSL logo in my hands. Attaching it was a bit tricky, but I managed to get it on there nice and secure.
The Final Touches
With the logo in place, I added the finishing touches. I made a strap out of the same leather, added some buckles and clasps I found at the hardware store, and lined the inside with some soft fabric I had lying around. And there you have it – my very own Remake Yves Saint Laurent YSL COLLEGE BAG.
Showing It Off
- Took the bag out for a spin.
- Got some funny looks.
- Felt pretty proud of my handiwork.
- It ain’t perfect, but it’s mine.
So, that’s the story of how I remade the YSL COLLEGE BAG. It was a fun little project, and I learned a thing or two along the way. Maybe I’ll try remaking another fancy bag sometime. Or maybe I’ll just stick to making things that are a bit more my style. Who knows? The world’s my oyster, or in this case, my leather workshop.
