Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to get this Prada Galleria Saffiano bag for a while, but, you know, the price tag is a little bit scary. So I thought, why not try to remake it? Yeah, I know it sounds crazy, but I was like, let’s do this!
First, I started looking everywhere online to find something similar. I found a bunch of pictures, and this one had a floral print, like porcelain. It looked pretty cool. I also found that the bag has been remake a lot of time. Different seasons, they come up with new designs and stuff.
I went to a bunch of stores, trying to find the right materials. It wasn’t easy, let me tell you. I needed this special kind of leather, called Saffiano, which is, like, really tough and has this cool texture. I finally found some online, but it was still pretty expensive. But way cheaper than a real prada one of course.
Then came the hard part – actually making the bag. I’m not a professional or anything, so it was a lot of trial and error. I watched a ton of videos online, read some articles, and just kind of went for it. It was messy, and I messed up a lot. I even found some random forum posts about people talking about, like, “tag=” in some link, and another one talking about smell proof bags big enough for a prescription. And get this, I even saw a comment about some game character’s butt being only 650 verts and 1195 triangles! What the heck? I guess people talk about everything on the internet.
- First, cut out the leather pieces.
- Then, sew them together, which was a pain.
- After that, add the hardware, like the zipper and the little metal feet.
After many days, maybe weeks of work, I finally finished it! It wasn’t perfect, of course. There were some flaws here and there, but I was so proud of myself. I mean, I made a bag that looked kind of like a Prada bag!
It’s not the real thing, but it’s mine, and I made it with my own two hands. It’s a little rough around the edges, just like me, but it’s got character. It’s kind of like those sports video games, like NBA 2K, they always try to make the graphics and gameplay better and better, but it’s never exactly like the real thing. But it is still fun right? This bag is like that for me, it’s not a real Prada, but I love it all the same. And maybe one day, I’ll be able to buy the real deal. But for now, this one is perfect for me.
