Today I tried to remake a Prada Galleria Saffiano Special Edition bag. It took me a whole day but I think it was totally worth it. Now let me tell you how I did it.
First, I went online to look for some info about it. I opened the usual shopping sites that I frequently browse. I looked at several online stores, like Nordstrom. They have a lot of top brands. But I couldn’t find the one I wanted.
Then I moved to other websites, like Temu, which is said to be a one-stop destination for fashion products. I found some items, but they didn’t really satisfy me. After that, I tried Jomashop. It’s a good place for men’s fragrances, but it seems they don’t focus on bags. I also checked out some other online shopping platforms like Shopee Mxico and a Chinese top-rating Internet store. I even explored Shopee, which is popular in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Sadly, after browsing through all these sites, I still couldn’t find the exact Prada Galleria Saffiano Special Edition bag I wanted.
But I didn’t give up! I decided to make one by myself. I found some great leather that felt just like the original Saffiano. I already had some basic tools for crafting, so I just started to gather the materials I needed.
- First, I made the pattern. I carefully drew the shapes of each part on paper and cut them out.
- Then, I cut the leather. Laying the pattern pieces on the leather and cutting them out accurately.
- Next, I started sewing. I stitched the main parts together, which was the most time-consuming part. I made sure each stitch was even and tight.
- After that, I added the metal parts. I attached the zipper, the buckles, and the Prada logo carefully.
- Finally, I assembled all the parts. The handles, the lining, every small detail was put together.
When I finished, I was really proud of myself. The bag is not exactly the same as the original one, of course, but it looks pretty good! I even tried it on and took some photos. It looks perfect with my outfit. I felt it’s a good match for me.
Making this bag was a real challenge, but also a lot of fun. I learned a lot in the process, and now I have a unique bag that I can’t wait to show off!
Next time, I might try making some different styles of bag. Maybe a smaller one, or maybe a tote bag. There are so many possibilities!
